About the Authors
T.C. and R.E. Rubright are first time authors, a father and son team who decided to write a book when R.E was fourteen years old, more than a decade ago. It began as a fun project, little more than a dream, but soon took on a life of its own as they came up with characters and began building the world of Stheara, a mythical realm that corresponds loosely to nineteenth century Earth. They call their genre ‘black powder and sorcery,’ as opposed to sword and sorcery.

Both T.C. and R.E. are lifelong fantasy and sci-fi fans and come from a family of storytellers, musicians and authors. They are insatiable readers who, as is often the case, turned into writers. Feldregor “Slaga” Boyden and his friends became a vehicle for communication as the authors held endless, informal ‘meetings’ to discuss all aspects of the world they were creating. It’s unclear when it turned from a fun idea into a serious endeavor, but now they want to share it with friends, family and, ultimately, fantasy lovers everywhere.
There will be three books in the trilogy: The Sky That Broke the Hills, The Sky That Ate the Smoke, and the Sky That Spilled the Stars.
